主校区所在的曼哈顿校区有10个学院，另外还有两个分院，一个是在新泽西的帕拉丁分校（Paladins），另一个在夏威夷的毛伊分校（Maui College) . 各学院的设置如下：

CUNY的文艺学院是培养最多学生的一个学院，共有5400名学生，也是最大的一个学院。这个学院下分设了文学部，历史部，哲学部，政治与经济部和语言中心。想进这个学院的要求相对会高一点，因为需要学生们修读一定数量的本科课程后才能申请，而且录取率比较低。但是该学院的奖学金名额很多，经济困难的学生可以得到足够的帮助。

COMMUNITY COLLEGE OF BROOKLYN Brooklyn Community学院
This is where you can start your college education in New York if you are not sure what to major in or have any questions about how the American higher educational system works. It’s located in Downtown Brooklyn across from Barclays Center.
You need TOEFL scores for international students， SAT/ACT scores and high school transcript. You also need to write a brief personal statement explaining why you want to go there and to meet with an adviser before applying.
The college offers degrees in over 70 subjects， ranging from accounting to zoology. Most classes however have less than 20 students so that teachers can give you individual attention.
All incoming freshmen who apply by the early action deadline will receive admission decision within six days. There is no application fee.
